MND Session 2
Our fearless adventurers encounter their strongest foe yet: Louise the Beholder. (Or the Southern Belle-holder, if you're Grumblestan). Anyway, she is delightful! She was summoned to protect the Forge of Spells for one hundred and one years. To her knowledge, it has been about 50ish years, and Wave Echo Cave was attacked and ransacked... yesterday. (In actuality, it has been centuries since the mine and forge were functioning). Thankfully, she has a strong sense of corporate loyalty, and "Senior Logistics Supervisor" Hans Sugarville was there to promote her to be the Head of HR for Torture Co. and shift her job duties away from protecting an abandoned magic workshop towards protecting them on their journeys.
Louise's coworker named Frank died centuries ago, and the restless spirit of his anger turned him into a wraith. The party killed Frank, though some in-fighting and close brushes with death made it a more dramatic fight than it needed to be.
With Louise on their side, the PCs are settling down for a long rest and will seek out The Spider once they wake up -- hopefully putting this quest to bed once and for all.
