Calendar System
Several things about the calendar in Ostroia are similar to timekeeping in the real world: minutes are 60 seconds, hours are 60 minutes, days are 24 hours, and years are 365 days. However, there are a few large scale changes.
Most notably, the year is divided into 13 months, each with 28 days. Days are grouped further into 7 day weeks. Each year, in the middle of summer, Ostroia celebrates the Day of Rest - a large scale celebration that doesn't "count" as a day. Every four years (aligning with our leap years), this festival has an extra day, called the Day of Blessings.
Many features of the calendar are inspired by the Tamirelic calendar from Elder Scrolls.
